THE SHORE MAGAZINE
The Shore Magazine is but one physical manifestation of a greater goodness – the creative inspiration of the independent literary and artistic community in Canada and beyond. In print and online, The Shore provides an accessible forum for writers and visual artists to engage readers and other curious people in the arts. A key distinguishing feature of The Shore is juxtaposition – the old with the new, the traditional with the experimental, and the high with the low.
We do not disappoint.
The Shore Magazine reminds us that reading, writing, and creating visual art can be fun and engaging without sacrificing poignancy. This is why the editors feel that successful juxtaposition of the serious with the humorous, the real with the fictitious, and the inane with the truly profound, is so important to The Shore. To that end, our guiding theme is general-interest, with emphasis on interest.
The first edition of The Shore Magazine has just been published and it looks beautiful. The content is a mix of new fiction & non fiction, poetry, photography and other visual art. It is free of advertising, 60pg in length, perfect bound, and printed on 80lb paper. Here’s what the front and back cover look like:
